CENTELLA ASIATICA

La Centella asiatica fait certainement partie de ces miracles que la nature nous propose de découvrir et d’utiliser. Nous la classons aisément dans la catégorie des panacées tant elle nous veut du bien.

Les traditions orientales ont très tôt intégré cette plante dans leur recettes de santé et de beauté; ainsi, la médecine Ayurvédique mentionne la Centella Asiatica dans les textes anciens dont le « Sushruta Samhita1 » et l’utilise comme plante médicinale depuis des siècles. 

En Indonésie, sur l’ile de Java notamment, les feuilles de centella asiatica sont ajoutées dans certains plats culinaires pour revigorer la mémoire et les chinois du Yunnan en font une soupe au gout amère, mais si délicieuse. La légende veut que l’herboriste chinois Chang-Li Yun aurait vécu jusqu’à l’âge de 256 ans et s’est marié 24 fois, attribuant cela l’infusion de Centella qu’il buvait tous les jours, aussi connue sous le nom de «miracle des élixirs».

C’est avec la centella malgache que cette plante a commencé à se faire connaitre de notre coté du monde.

BACOPA MONNIERI

Peu connu en Europe, le Bacopa monnieri est une plante très réputée en Inde en raison de ses nombreuses vertus pour la santé. Dans la médecine ayurvédique, cette plante est présentée comme un tonique naturel pour prévenir les affections du cerveau.

Très étudiée ces dernières années, cette plante est désormais considérée comme un adaptogène. Elle permet de lutter naturellement contre les états de stress et d’anxiété.
